Selected work from first year (2021/2022) exploring themes of psychogeography through frottage of cracks in pavements (a motif of noticeable marks in my environment), sculpture, depth-mapping, and blender modelling. I was considering walking as a grounding practise, and my work at this time is mostly an output of my engagements with my environment through walking; collected symbols from pavement cracks and graffiti, foley audio, cast reproductions of pavements and an installation at Copeland Park as the culmination. As I still am, I was looking to find (in the words of Jane Bennett) enchantment in modern settings, and subvert non-spaces into productive and motivating environments through evolving my perspective of them.
